Path of Exile Item Upgrades
Upgrades to items are a common and important way to improve the performance of numerous items in Path of Exile. item upgrader can be a fantastic source of damage and more AD or even more attachments.
Rare-grade equipment is usually superior to modernized Common or Magic gear because of their high requirements.
Armor
Armor upgrades are a form of upgrade that can be applied to weapon and armor items. They improve the stats of the item that they are connected to. Armor upgrades can be found in the world of games and are available from Blacksmiths on bonfires. They can also be salvaged using an expert or higher salvage kit to salvage upgrade components from other items.
The amount of damage an armored item or weapon is able to absorb is dependent on the extent of its upgrades. The absorption of damage by a piece armor will increase when it is upgraded to the highest upgrade level. However, it's important be aware that this upgrade will increase its weight, causing it to be heavier than before.
There are many different kinds of armor upgrades available in the game. Each has a different impact. Certain upgrades give armor an extra amount of health points while others make it more powerful and lighter. The type of armor upgrade that an item can receive will be indicated by the name of the upgrade, as indicated in the table below.
A few upgrades are magic or a hybrid of technology and magic, which is shown by the "Magic" or "Hybrid" entry in the table below. Additionally, some upgrades require charges to use, and are indicated by an "Charges" entry in the table below. The charges associated with these upgrades change daily or never expire, according to the upgrade.
Iron Ore is the cheapest way to upgrade your armor. It can be found by exploring and looting small chests. Titanium is more expensive, however it is obtainable from the smelters in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Some upgrades, such as the Reforge and the Hot Potato Books, can only be applied to high-level armor pieces. These upgrades can give significant improvements in performance and are worth the investment, particularly for one-handed weapons.
The player should be aware, however, that upgrading a piece to the max upgrade level will increase its defense values. However, item upgrade will also decrease its agility and speed. This is why it is typically not recommended to upgrade the majority of armor pieces beyond +9, because the increase in defense is generally not worth the additional weight and power cost of the upgrades required.
Weapons
Weapon upgrades allow players the ability to improve certain aspects of their weapon. For instance, an upgrade may increase the damage dealt by a shotgun's shells or the accuracy of a rifle that snipes. Certain weapons come with special upgrades that enhance their inherent characteristics. Frictionless materials (improves stability, minimizes the risk of overheating), and Kinetic coils (increases the projectile's velocity for greater damage) are two examples.
Most upgrades for weapons require one of three Power Dices, a different amount of Minerals and Erons, and a whetblade to apply. These can be obtained by finishing side quests, taking out a certain number of monsters or bosses or from the Weapon Upgrade NPC in Central Flarine.
To upgrade an equipment set, weapon piece or Whetblade you need to visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine, and pay her an upgrade fee of a specific number of Bars. The more bars required to complete an upgrade, the more advanced the level. If you have multiple upgrade materials, the cost of upgrading will be lower.
In Chapter 2: Season 5, the way you upgrade your equipment and weapon sets was a bit different. Prior to Chapter 2 Season 5 you could upgrade your weapon or equipment by paying a specific amount of Bars. You could do this until your weapon or equipment reached its maximum upgrade level, at which point the upgrades would reset.
You can still do this but the process is high on RNG and low on agency. Instead, you're much better off going to stores and buying equipment with low upgrade levels, but excellent base scores and stat distributions. These will then have a better chance of bringing you the best tier of perks and blessings.
The majority of players will prioritize weapon upgrades for the weapons they use most frequently to make sure they are able to level up quicker. Players should also upgrade the weapons that their teammates use to boost their strength. For instance, Shepard should consider upgrading the M92F to unlock the Beretta M93R, which will increase its utility when accompanied by biotic specialists like Grunt and Tali.
Jewels
Jewels are used in the sockets of armor and weapons, enhancing the stats of a weapon and providing additional effects. Jewelry crafting is a method for creating them. You combine gemstones with specific reagents on a jewelry table. The higher the grade of the jewel the better the secondary effect. These reagents can be found around the world from Treasure Goblins, World Bosses and sometimes by salvaging Legendary gear. You can also buy them from The Jeweler in exchange for gold and Scattered Prisms.
The Jeweler can boost the quality of a gem in stages ranging from Crude up to Royal. Depending on the tier of the gem, it will provide a different stat boosts when it is inserted into weapons, equipment and jewelry.
All kinds of jewels can be crafted at the Jeweler however, there are some exceptions to this, such as the rare and legendary gems that require you to be at a sufficient level to obtain the privilege of having them. Unlike other upgrade components, jewels can be swapped out with a jewel of the same kind without damaging the original one. However it is only possible to replace the jewels in a piece of equipment only once.
It is typical to use more jewelry to enhance the appearance of. In addition to enhancing performance, the jewels create an outer layer that is more durable than metal, so repeated friction from pivots doesn't cause damage as easily.
In addition to the upgrades mentioned above, the player can also acquire glyphs for their weapons and shields from a Glyphmaster. They offer a small benefit and are able to be swapped easily however they aren't guaranteed to drop as loot. Glyphs, just like jewelry, can be upgraded by the Jeweler in exchange for gold and Scattered Crystals. Glyphs can also be removed from the inventory, and they are returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components, such as traits or aegis can't be exchanged and can only be retrieved by using an Upgrade extractor or salvaging using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage tool.
Trinkets
Trinkets are small pieces of equipment that offer many small but useful advantages to your hero. They can be acquired starting in the beginning areas as loot, personal story rewards, from vendors, and through doing road interactions. They can be found on the Trading Post, or crafted by jewelers.
The first trinket that a player will be able to unlock is the cloak. It gives a small, but useful bonus in speed of movement and the ability to escape. After that, they can get amulets, rings, and necklaces in a similar manner to the way a player obtains armor and weapons. Each piece of equipment has one upgrade slot that can accommodate either a universal upgrade or a jewel upgrade. Universal upgrades offer fewer benefits and can be used in any type of equipment, however, jewelry cannot be replaced or upgraded and only works with certain kinds of trinkets.
These trinkets also grant additional buffs and skills that remain active when the hero is not in combat. This enables the hero to perform better when they are not active and also helps make up for a lack of a strong team or the absence of any slots in the talent tree which would normally be filled with the hero's best statistics.
In general trinket upgrades should be a priority BiS (Best in Slot) items that you aren't likely to replace in the near future. Next, any items that have desirable statistics aren't as significant as the iLevel for the item to be upgraded. This is especially true if an item has multiple stats that you'd like to upgrade as it's often more beneficial to upgrade one important stat rather than two sub-optimal ones.
In the beginning of the game players in the jungle are likely to upgrade their trinket to a red in the middle and top players will usually opt for either a pink or green ward (depending on the game's matchup). These choices will have a significant impact on the hero's abilities to control maps.

In addition to the items mentioned above, players can also find other trinkets in the form of rewards and trophies throughout the game. These can be earned through completing certain milestones in the story, like completing a chapter's main quest or killing a certain boss. These achievements can be seen by selecting the relevant achievement in the reward tab of the hero menu.
